Tea and Spices

We are committed to promoting sustainable livelihoods and creating economic opportunities that benefit both communities and the environment. As part of this mission, we are currently working on developing the market value-chain of naturally available spices, such as curry leaf.
Although curry leaf is a well-known spice that has been used for generations, its use has declined in recent years due to a lack of commercialization and marketing efforts. However, we believe that there is significant potential to add value to this locally available resource and connect it to larger markets.
To achieve this goal, we are collaborating with farmers and community forest user groups in Lumbini Province, as well as our partner organization N.Agro. Together, we are working to identify the best quality curry leaves and establish a market value-chain that can help to increase demand and improve the livelihoods of local communities.
Our approach is based on sustainable and ethical principles, with a focus on creating a fair and transparent value-chain that benefits all stakeholders. By connecting local producers with larger markets, we can help to promote economic growth and create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. At the same time, we are committed to preserving the natural resources and biodiversity of the region, and ensuring that our activities have a positive impact on the environment.
Through our work on developing the market value-chain of curry leaf, we are demonstrating our commitment to promoting sustainable livelihoods and creating economic opportunities that benefit communities and the environment.
